Even Small Things Matter

I left the office almost at 8 pm. Such a long day! I have been writing all day, and my brain is like a mush.

I felt like walking two tram stops from the subway to the bus despite the cold as I desperately needed some air. So I got it. And I noticed some nice small changes on the way, that put a smile on my face.

I used to walk there fairly often, but haven’t done so in a while.

First, I noticed a cake shop. It made me wonder, how come they open left and right… Who eats or needs that many sweets?? Everything is about health and fitness and mindful eating nowadays, isn’t it?! So what’s up with this sugar overload???

Second, a much-welcomed change was the disappearance of the construction site on the sidewalk! I think it’s been ongoing for well over a year, so it was about time. I just noticed, how much better I felt on that particular stretch of the street.

Third, the healthy cake shop that I’ve been planning to try for YEARS, and was just a few minutes of walk from that spot, actually moved to that exact street, very close to my bus stop haha so no excuses now. Not sure yet if it’s a good or a bad thing though, but I found it hilarious.

That’s all. Sometimes even small things can lift you up after a hard day, I guess 🙂
